Connect your devices to the Campus Network print icon

To connect your device to the campus network you need to first decide how you will connect.

Wired


Does your device have an Ethernet or Wired port? Most dorms sometimes offer 1 extra Ethernet port for you to use. If you want to connect your Computer or Gaming device with a wired connection and you have the option to in your room, then please visit the following link:

You will need to have your devices MAC address in order to register it. If you don't know how to get it please visit the following link:

Wireless


This is probably the method you are wanting to use to connect most of your devices. Such as your Smart Phone, Laptop, or other devices. To do this you will want to connect to the "Franklin College" Wi-Fi network from your device's Wi-Fi settings. And then follow the next steps based on your device:
 

IOS


1. Open the Settings app and navigate to Wi-Fi
2. Choose the "Franklin College" Wi-Fi Network
3. When prompted enter your Franklin College credentials
4. You will then be asked to accept a certificate, accept it
5. Within a few seconds, you should be connected

 

 

Android


1. Open the Settings app and navigate to Wi-Fi
2. Choose the "Franklin College" Wi-Fi Network
3. You will then be prompted with a new window with the following options. Please change to this:
     - EAP method - PEAP
     - Phase 2 Authentication - MSCHAPV2
     - CA Certificate - Do Not Validate
     - Identity - "Your Username"
     - Password - "Your Password"
4. Within a few seconds, you should be connected
 

Windows PC

(Please note that Windows 7 now at the end of life. Starting on January 2020 we will no longer support Windows 7 computer on our network. You can find out more here)

1. Click on the start button to open the start menu
2. Click on the gear icon on the left to open the setting app
3. Navigate to "Network & Internet" > "Wi-Fi" > "Show available networks"
4. Choose the "Franklin College" network
5. When prompted enter your credentials
6. Within a few seconds, you should be connected
 

Mac Computer


1. Click on the Apple menu from the top left of the screen and then select system preferences
2. Navigate to "Network" > "Wi-Fi" > "Network name"
3. From there click on the "Franklin College" network
4. From there you will be prompted to enter your credentials, enter them.
5. Within a few seconds, you should be connected

 

 

Gaming or Streaming Device


We have a dedicated site setup for registering gaming & streaming devices. Please visit this site from a device that you have already registered (like a phone or computer) as this website is not public.
